Hey folks,
Today is January 6th. It is a historical day. And no, I am not talking about the time that there was a storming of the capital. I'm talking about the debut of WWE Raw on Netflix. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? As a lifelong wrestling fan, who was in high school during the Attitude Era/Monday Night War, I am very excited for it. Triple H said that WWE programming will stay family friendly, and I totally get that. They don't want to lose sponsors, but also there will be kids/families in the live audience. However, being on a streamer means they don't have the FCC restrictions to worry about. If there is a chant of "Fuck you Solo", they don't need to censor the audience. If The Rock cuts a curse-laden promo, there is no bleeping necessary.
Netflix also allows so much more than Peacock. Peacock made all the bloody segments black and white; they have also cut out key segments of Raws and PPVs that may be "controversial" or cause a panic. Like they cut out the DX impersonation of The Nation and Roddy Piper's WrestleMania VI promo against Bad News Brown. All because of the SJW snowflakes that get their panties in a bunch about face paint.
Tonight, also marks the return of Suds News after the holidays. Angela and I will be back tonight at 8 pm live! We will be catching up on the past two weeks of GH. I will be streaming Raw on my iPad so I can keep up with it. We'll talk everything about Sonny's health issues and why it could end up leading to Cyrus's capture. Or could it be the beginning of the end of the Teflon Don? There was a teaser put out last week and taken down hours later. Was it an accident or was it done on purpose?
Until tonight, let's get excited!
